a student's work on the surface area/volume ratio for cuboids with a 1 by 1 square cross section and increasing lengths
i.e. volumes and surface areas of 1 by 1 by L 'sticks'
looking at the fraction of surface area/ volume
what happens as L gets larger?
what happens for other square sections?
(e.g. 2 by 2 by L)
