temperature conversion

In Centigrade the scale for water freezing to boiling (normal pressure) is from 0 to 100

In Fahrenheit it is 32 to 212

so the scale factor is (212 - 32)/100 = 1.8

the 'zero' shifts up by 32

so the rule for conversion is
F = 1.8C + 32




 there is also an approximate conversion rule: x 2 , + 30

compare the two conversion rules for values of C starting at 0 and increasing by 5





how does a normal room temperature of 22 degrees C compare when it is changed using both rules?
