squares under the stairs
these resources are based upon an article by Daniel Pearcy in Maths Teaching 247 (July 2015)
thanks to David Wells for his insight
fit some squares underneath the line:
what will the top left coordinates of the next few squares be?
the top right?
fit squares underneath this line, starting with (0 , 0) as the bottom left-hand corner of the first square
what are the coordinates of the next few top-left corners?
given the equation of a straight line graph and an origin, can you find the coordinate sequence for the top left-hand corners of the squares?
try to justify any rules that are found
straight line graphs
